Here are some BMW X3 replacement parts I recommend. You can save 75% by buying parts online and doing the work yourself.

BMW X3 E83 front brakes:

I recently purchased some ceramic replacement brake pads for my X3. Previously I had metallic pads and I noticed a reduction in stopping power when switching to ceramic. The car still stops fine, I just have to press down on the brake firmer. Ceramic pads will last longer, but now that I’ve done the brakes myself, next time I’m going to use metallic pads instead. Here are some ceramic and metallic options for you, starting with ceramic:

Here are some semi-metallics that will wear a bit faster, but will grab a bit better:

BMW uses a brake sensor to tell you when your brakes need replacing. I replaced mine before the sensor was worn, so I could have reused it. Also, only buy 1 sensor not 2 (I found out the hard way but it makes sense, the front wear at the same rate, only 1 sensor is necessary):

Also replace your rotors when replacing your pads. I used to just “turn” the rotors, or machine them back to spec, but it’s not worth in my opinion. You might get a steering wheel shake or uneven pad wear using machined rotors so I don’t recommend anything but new rotors:

I want to try this out now that they dropped the price. It allows you to access SIRIUS satellite, play music via USB, or directly connect your iPhone or Android device to your BMW’s stock audio system. You can also access Siri from the call button on your steering wheel, opening up all sorts of possibilities:
