2002-2003-2004-2005-2006-2007 Honda Accord EX cabin air filter replacement

Here’s the procedure to replace the cabin air pollen filter in your Honda Accord in less than three minutes. I managed to remove and reinstall the filter with one hand while holding the camera in the other – so you should have no problems tackling this easy job.

The cabin air filter basket, you can remove this by releasing the latches on both sides

I ordered our replacement cabin air filter on Amazon; shipping is free when you spend over $25. It saved us since I bought the Cabin Air Filter, K&N High Performance Replacement Air Filter, and Engine Oil Filter all at once. The K&N is a nice little upgrade, it will make an extra horse or two and will most likely last the life of the car.

Acura-Honda DVD navigation fix and repair

Are you having problems with your Acura or Honda DVD navigation system? When you drive, do you sometimes see a message that says, “DVD disc reading error“? Acura/Honda navigation system - OK button missing when starting the car, This button was missing on our 2006 Honda Accord navigation system until we had the unit serviced

I actually experienced both these errors on our 2006 Accord EX with navigation. The key is to not get frustrated and to systematically eliminate possible issues until the root cause is found. First, locate the DVD drive (for the Pilot it’s under the passenger seat, in the Accord it’s mounted in the center of the trunk area). Is the system getting power when the key is in the “on” position? Ours was, so then I ejected the disc to see what else I could find. The drive seemed to be working fine, but the disc had faint swirling scratches on it. I used some alcohol to clean the disc but after another day or two, the error had returned so a dirty disc was not the culprit.
